John Love was educated at Edmonds Community College and Seattle University, where he graduated with a BA in Public Administration. He worked as an analyst/administrator experience with Verizon, Microsoft, Experience Music Project, Overlake Hospital, Wizards of the Coast, Nextel. He was most recently with the Boeing Company in Everett WA.
Of Irish ancestry, he was born in the United States. He has been an integral part of the citizenship class since 1991. He enjoyed most: "The interaction with the people, the satisfaction of helping people through this process, and sharing in the students joy of "graduation" when they become citizens."
For John and Liz the citizen class has been a huge part of their lives for 18 years, and John has been a huge part of the class. He has helped prepare countless immigrants from all over the world for the citizenship test, but more importantly, he has helped educate them of the responsibilities as well as the benefits of citizenship. He has spent many hours tutoring them on the history and workings of their new home, not glossing over the warts, but still instilling in them the privilege it is to be a full member of this fine nation. This country owes him a debt of gratitude for the unselfishness of his contribution, for the many hours he has given for no reward other than the satisfaction of seeing the smiles on the faces of the new graduates of the class.
